PARTNERSHIP ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Filming BUFF was made possible by a generous partnership with the Pueblo de Cochiti, with leadership approval to film on sacred land. After meaningful consultation with their counsel, we learned that our film's themes and environmental messaging aligns with their community values and land restoration missions. Capturing a release of "Clyde the Buffalo" in our film, with his silhouette against the Cochiti sunset where buffalo once roamed freely, felt like a privilege and a spiritual homecoming. We were also proud to cast a community an on-screen role within the community. As we move toward the full length feature film, we are committed to deepening this partnership while amplifying the Pueblo de Cochiti's land initiatives.
